Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Puzzle progress — which puzzles you have solved, your best solve times, your streak, and your settings. Stored locally on your device.
• Anonymous account — when you first open the app, Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous account. This lets your progress appear on the leaderboard and sync if you later sign in.
• Signed-in account (optional) — if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that provider. Your email is used only to identify your account and is never shared with third parties or used for marketing.
• Leaderboard data — if you are signed in, your solve counts and solve times are written to Google's Realtime Database so they can appear on the leaderboard and sync across devices.
• Advertising data — the app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers and usage data to show and measure ads — see "Third-party services" below for details and your choices.

What we do not collect

• Location data.
• Contacts, camera, or microphone access.
• Payment or financial information.
• We never sell your data, and never share it with advertising networks beyond what's needed for AdMob to serve and measure ads.

Third-party services

We use the following services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase — authentication, Realtime Database, and Cloud Functions (leaderboard rank lookup). Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob — shows in-app ads. May use device identifiers and other data for ad personalization and measurement, subject to your device's ad tracking settings. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Sign in with Google — governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Sign in with Apple — governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Your ad choices

You can limit ad tracking or reset your advertising identifier at any time in your device's system settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads). Doing so does not remove ads from the app, only how they're targeted.

Data retention and deletion

Local data is removed when you delete the app. Cloud data (if you signed in) can be deleted from the Profile screen's "Delete account" option, or by contacting us at the address below. Anonymous accounts that remain inactive are periodically purged by Firebase.

Children's privacy

Hex Star Battle is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Sign-in is entirely optional, and the app is fully playable without creating an account.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
